iAny Manager

iPhones are excellent devices, but iTunes doesn't make it easy to manage their contained data. If you wish to transfer files between a computer and an iPhone, without waiting for a synchronization process each time you click something, then you should look for a different software. A good alternative is iAny Manager. It can be used to import and export files to and from any iOS device, as the name suggests. The software gives you the possibility of copying music, pictures, apps and other files, from one side to another, much faster and easier.

iAny Manager is shareware, which means that you can try it for a limited period of time, after which you have to pay for a license. It works on Windows XP, Vista, Win 7 and Win 8 and it asks for a 750 MHz processor or better and at least 512 MB of RAM, which should not be a challenge for any modern day computer. The software can be installed quickly, without any difficulties, but you need to have iTunes on your computer.

The user interface resembles a lightweight version of iTunes. You may connect one or more iOS devices to your computer and the program will detect them automatically. Once a device is detected, you can access its music files, images, books, contacts, messages, apps and even its system files, via navigation tabs, located on the left side of the interface. If you wish to browse through your music, you can view all audio files in the same list or access your playlists.

Media files are listed with various details. You can select one or more files and click different options, on the right side of the interface, to copy them to a local folder or to send them directly to iTunes. It is also possible to back up and restore the selected files. In addition, the software provides options for copying new files to the connected device and for deleting existing ones. The same options can be found when exploring photos, iBooks, contacts or other contents.

The best part about iAny Manager is the fact that everything can be copied to or from the computer in just a few seconds. Furthermore, files can be transferred in one direction or another, just by clicking and dragging them. Unlike iTunes, the software will not keep you waiting until a synchronization process is complete, each time you perform certain actions.
